The Workshop on Intelligent Wireless Systems in the 6G Era (IWS-6G 2025) is a focused, two-day invited-seminar series featuring seven expert talks and an on-site tour of the Communication Technology Laboratory (CTL) at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) in Kaohsiung (December 15–16, 2025). The series highlights Pinching-Antenna Systems (PASS) and pinching beamforming for near-field, line-of-sight (LoS) links; wireless and quantum co-design; quantum communications and resource allocation; and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) for sixth-generation (6G) wireless at the physical layer (PHY), complemented by live demonstrations of Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS)-aided advanced communication systems. Broader themes encompass Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC), near-field Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO), reconfigurable and active surfaces, terahertz (THz) and cell-free architectures, Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) integration, and User Equipment Collaborative MIMO (UE-CoMIMO). With cross-cutting emphasis on security, privacy, and energy efficiency, the seminar series aims to inspire researchers to pursue further investigations in these areas.
